First appointment and assessment

One appointment, 90 minutes

The starting point for every treatment. In 90 minutes, a psychiatrist and a psychotherapist look at how, when and how much you gamble, the impact on your finances and relationships, and whether anxiety, depression or alcohol use play a part.

Who it's for

Anyone who feels they have lost control over gambling, and family members looking for guidance.

What's included

  • Clinical interview and validated questionnaires
  • Psychiatric examination
  • Report with a programme recommendation
  • Cost estimate with no obligation

Residential programme

4 to 8 weeks

A stay in a quiet house with single rooms and no free access to smartphones or the internet. Days are structured around individual therapy, groups, exercise and time in nature, to break the cycle of urge and bet.

Who it's for

People who gamble daily, have serious debts, have tried to stop several times without success or show signs of depression.

What's included

  • Individual therapy three times a week
  • Daily therapy groups
  • Medical and psychiatric care
  • Family sessions at weekends
  • A plan for returning home and to work

Intensive outpatient programme

12 weeks

Structured treatment without leaving home or your job. Individual and group sessions in the early evening, with practical tasks in between: logging urges, controlling money and setting up digital blocks.

Who it's for

People with a broadly stable daily routine and support at home.

What's included

  • 3 sessions a week for the first 8 weeks
  • Cognitive behavioural therapy
  • Relapse-prevention group
  • Monthly psychiatric review

Individual therapy

Weekly, 50 minutes

Sessions with a specialist psychotherapist to work on the thoughts that keep gambling going: "I'm about to win", "I have to win back what I lost", "This time is different". You learn to recognise triggers and respond to them differently.

Who it's for

People at any stage, including after a residential programme.

What's included

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Personal relapse-prevention plan

Therapy groups

Weekly, 90 minutes

Small groups led by a psychotherapist, with people going through the same thing. Hearing from those who are further along the road is what makes change feel real for many.

Who it's for

Alongside any programme and for long-term stability.

What's included

  • A maximum of 10 participants
  • Separate groups for young adults
  • In person and online
Family walking together outdoors

Family support

According to your plan

Gambling affects the whole family: lies, missing money, arguments. We help partners, parents and children understand the addiction, protect the family finances and rebuild trust, with or without the person who gambles taking part.

Who it's for

Family members of people with gambling problems, whether or not they are in treatment.

What's included

  • Family and couples sessions
  • Monthly family group
  • Advice on protecting accounts and assets
Calculator and paperwork on a desk

Debt management

4 to 6 sessions

Debt is one of the strongest relapse triggers. A social worker helps you list all your debts, negotiate with creditors and set up a money-management system that you share with someone you trust.

Who it's for

People with loans, missed payments or no clear picture of what they owe.

What's included

  • Complete overview of your debts
  • Support when contacting creditors
  • Household budget
  • Bank limits and blocks on gambling payments

Online therapy

Same as in-person appointments

Individual, group and family therapy by encrypted video, with the same clinical team. Ideal if you live outside Berlin, work shifts or would rather start from home.

Who it's for

People anywhere in Germany, and German- or English-speaking people abroad.

What's included

  • Encrypted, certified video platform
  • Evening and Saturday appointments
  • Prescriptions and reports in digital form

Aftercare

12 months, included in the programme

The first months after a programme carry the highest risk. We stay by your side with regular appointments, an aftercare group and the helpline for difficult moments.

Who it's for

Everyone who completes a programme with us.

What's included

  • Follow-up appointments for 12 months
  • Aftercare group every two weeks
  • 24-hour helpline
